How To Apply

 

Our department participates in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Centralized Application System (CSDCAS) which allows applicants to submit their materials electronically and track their progress towards completing the application process. Applicants can have their transcripts reviewed and verified by the committee, letters of recommendation stored electronically, and their personal statement submitted online. This process ensures that materials will not be lost in the mail or misplaced.

 

Communication Sciences and Disorders Centralized Application System (CSDCAS) Instructions:

  1. Go to the CSDCAS website: https://portal.csdcas.org/.
  2. Click on “Create New Account” and follow the instructions provided by CSDCAS.
  3. Complete CSDCAS online application. Under school designations, choose “Speech-Language Pathology” as program type, select “University of Hawaii at Manoa” and save.
  4. Submit CSDCAS online application and required documents, including but not limited to letters of recommendation (3) and official transcripts.
  5. Pay your CSDCAS application fee.

Note: It may take several weeks for CSDCAS to verify your application and associated documents.

 

UHM Graduate School Application Instructions:

Complete UHM Graduate School Application online or by downloading and/or filling out the paper application.

    1. Submit UH Graduate School Application and required documents, including but not limited to official transcripts to: Graduate Division Student Services; 2540 Maile Way; Spaling 354; Honolulu, HI 96822; Email: gradess@hawaii.edu; Tel: (808)956-8544; Voice/Text: (808)956-4257
    2. Pay your UHM Graduate School Application fee.

Grade Point Average (GPA):

All students applying to the graduate program must have an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 1.0-4.0 scale (B average).

Applicants must submit official transcripts to: (1) CSDCAS, and (2) the Office of Graduate Education – Student Services at the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa from each college or university institution attended, regardless of number or credits or length of time attended, including any study abroad or exchange programs, summer programs, non-degree work and extension programs. Transcripts must be received directly from the institution.
