CSD attends 39th Annual HSHA Convention

Many of our first and second year graduate students attended the 39th Annual HSHA Convention this year on April 14-15 thanks to the generous scholarships offered to our students by HSHA. Although it is a very busy time for our department, and many of our faculty members were unable to attend due to student recruitment responsibilities, Two faculty members, Verna Chinen and Janelle Hiu were able to attend. Lesley (Essie) Parson was awarded with the Student of the Year award at the HSHA Convention. Essie was the President of the Hawaii Chapter of the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA) between 2014-2015 and will be graduating from the CSD Program this Summer.
